Purpose: The purpose of this worksheet is to audit the number of voters that have checked-in on the e-pollbook against the number of ballots scanned into the DS200 scanner (Public Count).
- 1. Each evening, the Judge should let the Clerk know how many ballots have been scanned which is the public count.
- 2. The Public Count from scanner or scanners should match the number of voters that have checked-in and signed the e-poll books.
- 3. The e-poll books are designed to update each other so that all the check-in numbers match. This will happen as long as the MiFi is on.
- 4. Sometimes the number of ballots scanned does not match the number of checked-ins. Reasons include:
- a. A voter that spoils a ballot but doesn’t request a new one.
- b. A voter who refuses to take the ballot after they have signed the e-poll book.
- 5. If the total number of checked-ins doesn’t match the total of the public count from scanner or scanners, do the following:
- a. Get the checked-in number from each e-poll book by going to MONITOR POLLS
- b. Choose VIEW REPORTS
- c. Choose VOTED LIST
- d. Use the FILTER BY DEVICE and change from ALL DEVICES to THIS DEVICE
- e. The number of checked-in voters will be in the gray box near the bottom of the screen
- f. Write this number in the line that coordinates for that EPB (EPB #1: __ + EPB #2: __ + EPB #3: __ + EPB #4: __) g. Repeat for each E-poll book that is at location.
- h. Now total the numbers and compare against the total ballots scanned (Public Count)
